Approach
REST has developed the following approaches
- Sustainable livelihoods: focuses on the social and economic context of households,
- Rural growth linkages: support Ethiopia’s core economic development policy,
- Economic diversification: promotes strengthening and expanding on- and off-farm incomes,
- Watershed management: incorporates wider socio-economic interventions and strategies to strengthen livelihoods,
- Mainstreaming gender into all activities
- Intensive capacity building
- Integrating all activities across all sectors
